Mirabai Chanu, Tokyo Olympics medallist, secures her spot at the Paris Olympics.

Mirabai Chanu: Mirabai Chanu became the sole Indian weightlifter to qualify for Paris Olympics. In a recent event, she came to the position of 3rd in Group B and 11th overall for women’s 49kg in the recent IWF World Cup.

Saikhom Mirabai Chanu is an Indian weightlifter and she belongs to a Meitei family, a warrior clan of Manipur. She was  trained at the Sports Academy in Manipur from the age of 12 where she was coached by Vijay Sharma and Aaron Horschig
