Kashmir Hosts Their 1st Formula-4 Car Racing Event Along Dal Lake This Month

1st Formula-4 Car Racing Event: Recently, the Kashmir state hosted their 1st ever Formula race near Dal Lake which was held for the first time in the region. The car will race along the Boulevard road near the lake, soon to be communed. The Zabarwan Hills will provide a stunning backdrop for the event. The abrogation of Article 370 was a historic decision that reshaped the constitutional landscape of India. Article 370 granted special autonomous status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir, limiting the applicability of Indian laws in the region. On August 5, 2019, the Indian government revoked Article 370 through a presidential order, thereby integrating Jammu and Kashmir fully into the Indian Union.

1st Formula-4 Car Racing Event

The 1.7 km long Formula-4 car race was held from Lalit Ghat to the Nehru Park region in the city. The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, called the symbol of J&K’s modern advancement and highlighted the historic significance of the event in J&K. India offers great opportunities for motorsports to thrive and Srinagar is right on top of the places where it can happen!”. “This is a momentous occasion for the Valley, showcasing our ability to host prestigious international events and attracting visitors from around the world,” Deputy Director of Tourism, Deeba Khalid remarked.
