GoodEnough Energy started India’s First Battery Storage Gigafactory in J&K

GoodEnough Energy: India got its First Battery Storage Gigafactory in the state of J&K by October 2023. Through the process, it will help industries cut more than 5 million tons of carbon emissions in a year. India has set a goal to become net zero by 2070.

GoodEnough is a company focused on renewable energy solutions, particularly in the area of battery energy storage projects. Founded by Akash Kaushik, the company has made significant investments in this sector, including a 1.5 billion rupee ($18.07 million) investment in a 7 gigawatt-hour facility. Additionally, GoodEnough plans to further expand its operations by investing an additional 3 billion rupees by 2027 to increase its capacity to 20 GWH. This expansion aligns with India’s ambitious renewable energy goals, as the country aims to increase its renewable energy capacity to 500 gigawatts by 2030.
