a.) Funding
With the estimated cost of 169.17 crore, under the The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), Kerala Goverment in collaboration with central ministry named Department of Fisheries, which will contribute Rs 50 crore while additional funds will be provided by Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW)
b.) Infrastructure Improvement
In the recent degradation, the project is seeking to modernize construction of three air-conditioned auction halls, one non-air-conditioned hall, fish dressing units, internal roads, loading and unloading platforms, waste management areas, and other ancillary units, while including construction of four temperature-controlled auction halls, measuring 60mx18m each, equipped with mechanical retrieval and conveyance systems , which will add the harbour capacity by 415 tonnes of fish per day
