“Mobile Suit Gundam” is a Japanese animated TV show that aired in 1979. It’s about a war between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon in the year 0079 of the Universal Century calendar. The story follows a young mechanic named Amuro Ray, who pilots a powerful robot called the RX-78 Gundam to fight against Zeon. The plot starts when a Federation ship called White Base picks up the Gundam from a research base. Zeon attacks and Amuro ends up piloting the Gundam to defend the ship. The crew of White Base made up of civilians and refugees, then sets out on a journey to survive the war. Throughout their journey, they clash with Zeon’s Lieutenant Commander Char Aznable. Amuro also meets Lalah Sune, who he falls in love with but accidentally kills during a battle with Char. Eventually, Amuro and Char have a final duel during a big battle, but they both realize they’ve been fighting the wrong enemy. The war ends with Zeon surrendering to the Federation, but some Zeon soldiers continue to fight in secret.
